We shouldn’t have to have any part of funding of an organization that broadcasts nothing but hatred towards our political party. It’s wrong on every level. Pull all the funding and let’s see if it can survive on it’s own legs.
It’s only fair, but of course fairness never comes into play anymore when democrats are involved.
Only show worth watching on PBS was Austin City Limits.
Antiques Roadshow is pretty good................
I agree.
“””Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee is planning to propose legislation that would pull funding for NPR as the agency grapples with the backlash against its far-left bias.”””
This will go nowhere in the Senate.
The House needs to remove NPR from all appropriation bills. That is where this fight needs to begin.
This has been talked about for years. If it ever gets done, it’s not going to happen with this Congress or with this (p)Resident.
NPR and PBS.
I thought “Downton Abbey” was a good show. Didn’t watch it at first, but my wife and daughter did, watched it one night, and I was hooked.
Please stop wasting taxpayer money on NPR. If that happens. I’ll eat my hat.
Had to look it up: The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, NPR’s and PBS’s parent, received $525 million for fiscal 2024. Of that, $367 million went to public television stations. Public radio stations got $126 million. Don’t listen to NPR, but watch a few shows on PBS. Especially like “The Woodwright’s Shop” with Roy Underhill. I build American Longrifles, flintlock rifles, totally with hand tools. I figure I make about $2.79 an hour building those rifles!
Never watched it, but knew folks who really enjoyed it too.
