As it stands today, I think it’s very winnable. Even with he inevitable cheating, he’s going to pick off something in the NE that is unexpected. He’s shattered expectations before. Remember PA 2016? And he’s right, things are a lot worse now which is a key factor.
He ought to hold a rally after court on the courthouse steps.
No one who works for Trump has any idea what they are doing. A Republican hasn’t won the Presidential vote in New Jersey since 1988. You run like you’re behind and he gets close to NJ only if he’s winning a Reagan style landslide.
Indicates a center-left VP running mate is likely. Probably Haley, or worse. I hope not, but otherwise this makes no sense.
Wildwood is South Jersey. North Jersey & South Jersey are like two different states. This will be Trump’s 2nd rally in Wildwood.
The only thing that could make a Trump Jersey rally even more effective would be a Chris Christie media blitz criticizing it.
If he starts campaigning in blue Connecticut I’ll be there! New Jersey’s a bit too far but Connecticut is absolutely fine with me!
Trump will take Cape May, Cumberland and Salem Counties. Possibly Atlantic county, probably Ocean, possibly Monmouth. If he takes Gloucester or Burlington that would be good but kind of doubtful. Camden is lost forever as is Mercer, Middlesex, Union, Essex, Hudson. Trump will take Hunterdon, Warren and Sussex in the North. Possibly Morris and Somerset, maybe Passaic (if Paterson turnout is low). He also has a shot in Bergen but it is not a great shot.
Actually Trump should be moving to his home in Bedminster New Jersey in a couple weeks for the summer.
South Jersey is not blue. We are just outnumbered.
Next campaign in Delaware. Have a “spontaneous” rally outside the courthouse in NYC, after the day’s proceedings. Deliberately violate the gag order and pay your fine in cash on the spot.
