President Biden signed a bill Saturday extending the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act’s (FISA) warrantless surveillance program another two years.
The Senate passed the reauthorization bill early Saturday, after hours of intense debate, narrowly avoiding a key national intelligence gathering capability going dark.
Senators voted 60-34 to send the bill to Biden’s desk shortly after the midnight deadline. The program looked as if it was headed for a lapse until Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) announced a breakthrough on the Senate floor.

Also the title is misleading, the bill doesn’t “extend” the powers, it greatly expands them.

Of course he knows what he’s signing. People do realize Schumer is very much part of the Washington establishment, yes? There are certain Senators on both sides that have a lot of connections...
Sorry, I realize you meant Biden. Biden may not be “with it”, but he’s part of that establishment as well and would sign it if he was with it, so...

This is just not true. Nothing stopped the CIA from spying on foreigners or even on Americans if they got a warrant for them. It’s the warrantless part that is so abusive to American citizens and allowed the Intelligence community to spy on Trump from the minute he came down his escalator
Pretty much just piling on, after the so-called “Patriot Act”.
I remember after 9/11 when liberals were adamantly opposed to the Patriot Act and the new FISA powers. Now you don’t hear a peep from them.
Expands and exempts the people that approve of these communist ‘laws’ to remove the last little bit of freedom from Americans.
At least the children will be safe from terrorists...I guess.
