Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Sunday said House Speaker Mike Johnson “betrayed” Republican voters after the House approved new aid to Ukraine, threatening to call a vote for his ouster if he doesn’t resign.
“Mike Johnson’s speakership is over. He needs to do the right thing to resign and allow us to move forward in a controlled process. If he doesn’t do so, he will be vacated,” Greene said on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”
After months of resisting putting a foreign aid bill on the House floor, Johnson joined with Democrats on Saturday to advance a $95 billion foreign aid package, which contains $61 billion for Ukraine and regional partners. The legislation – which passed with the support of 210 Democrats and 101 Republicans – now heads to the Senate, which is expected to give final approval this week.
Should Greene and her supporters make good on their threat to force a vote on ousting him as speaker, Johnson will almost certainly need to rely on Democrats to bail him out.
The Georgia hardliner is one of at least three Republicans who have said they will support a move to oust Johnson — whose majority is so slim he cannot afford to lose any Republicans on a party-line vote.

Was Johnson inactive (de-activated) during the entire time Strzok gave false briefings and got foreign Intel agencies in on the setup and prosecution of Trump? Was he not activated during the time Strzok’s group planned a raid on Trump to keep him from being elected again?
Now, Johnson wants us to believe that all briefings from Milley’s group and Strzok’s group are entirely factual and without Political agendas?
And there a video compilation of him saying 25 times that no foreign money will get through the House until the southern border is secured.

And, if they are it will be because Johnson allowed George Santos to be removed and RINO Mike Gallagher to resign after the point he could be replaced.

The best way to handle Johnson is to leave him in place for the rest of the year but recruit a strong primary challenger in 2024 congressional race.

Agree completely. With only a one-vote majority, Pubs can lose the whole ballgame and we end up with a one-party Dem dictatorship. Just think about that terrible Senate border bill put forward by the OK RINO senator -- 5,000 illegals per day entering before the president can take action, even if he wanted to. More money for border agents, but only for processing, not for stopping them. It would tie Trumps hands when he takes office. As he proved when he was President, he can take executive action to close the border, so HB-2 is the way to go but the Senate won't touch it now. But if Jefferies becomes House leader, they will have 8-months to raise all sorts of havoc and maybe even pass a bill to say Trump is ineligible to become President.
MTG is not an idiot, but she and others who want to kick Johnson out need to understand the very real likely bad consequences of their action.
What I see is Biden and Barry open the southern border.. They don’t care who came in.. One murdered a young lady at a GA college.. There are more coming. I have family in El paso. The cartel has control of the border.. Citizens’ life is not normal.
Invaders are being treated better than our veterans and families that need help.

I agree, I live in AZ and it’s disgusting what has happened to this state. But we need to think strategically and not end up giving the Dems exactly what they want. Nothing will be done until Trump gets in office no matter what. You have a President who ignores the SCOTUS do you really think he would follow a border law?
I don’t know why we couldn’t stop this but we can keep it from getting worse. I know McCarthy has raised a lot of money to fight MAGA candidates, we can’t let that happen. We have to take the senate and the house but it will do no good if we replace RINOs with RINOs.
