JUST IN: Alvin Bragg’s Prosecutors Lie About 2016 Election in Opening Statement to Jurors

Opening statements were underway in President Trump’s ‘hush payment’ trial in New York City on Monday morning.

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s top prosecutor lied during his opening statement and claimed Trump “orchestrated a criminal scheme to corrupt the 2016 presidential election” when he paid porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about their alleged affair.

Trump has denied the affair.

Bragg’s top prosecutor who gave the opening statement on Monday – Matthew Colangelo – previously worked in the Justice Department (Biden appointee) and is a lifelong left-wing activist.

“The defendant, Donald Trump, orchestrated a criminal scheme to corrupt the 2016 presidential election. Then he covered up that criminal conspiracy by lying in his New York business records over and over and over again,” prosecutor Matthew Colangelo – a former top Biden DOJ appointee – told jurors, according to AP.

Alvin Bragg indicted Trump last April on 34 felony counts related to ‘hush payments’ he made to Stormy Daniels.

Trump was accused of paying porn star Stormy Daniels, AKA, Stephanie Clifford, ‘hush payments’ through his then-attorney Michael Cohen in a scheme to silence her and stop the story about their alleged affair from being published in the National Enquirer.

The payments made to Stormy Daniels did NOT come from Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

The payments were made through internal business records – there was no tax deduction taken and there was no obligation to file it with the FEC, according to Trump attorney Joe Tacopina.

Alvin Bragg didn’t explain what exactly he wanted to convict Trump of in the charging documents.

Bragg told reporters he doesn’t have to tell anyone what the underlying felony is.

This is a glaring example of a two-tiered justice system.

Recall that the FEC in 2022 fined Hillary Clinton and the DNC $113,000 for lying about funding the fake Russia dossier.

The FEC fined Clinton and said her campaign violated the rules because they failed to disclose payments funneled to Fusion GPS through DNC law firm Perkins Coie.

Hillary Clinton got a light slap on the wrist for her crimes while Trump is on trial in New York City.

But President Donald Trump sits in court and is abused and slandered by the prosecutors and presiding judge, a far left Trump-hater.

Democrats are destroying our justice system like everything else they touch before our eyes.

Between 1988 and 1992 the Clinton people paid “hush money “ to many women.

Others they flat out threatened.

Screw you Bragg. Karma is a bitch.

What a backwards world these people live in.

Paying “hush money” (which a LOT of celebs as well as politicians do) is now “corrupting” an election, BUT, targeted prosecution of a politician running for election is not corrupting an election.

I don’t know if it’s a “lie” per se as it seems to be the general allegations under which he is charged. It all does seem ridiculous but that “lie” is the basis of their case.

The defense will present its case; it wasn’t campaign money, it wasn’t hush money, it was purchase of story rights, it was blackmail to protect his wife and family from embarrassment etc.

This is who is really behind this. PIAPS is still smarting from her ruined coronation in 2017. She’ll never get over it and die an embittered drink who was never President.

Docs Lacking Trump’s Signature Pose Serious Problem For Bragg
Daily Caller ^ | April 22, 2024 1:08 PM ET | JASON COHEN
Posted on 4/22/2024, 11:36:00 AM by Red Badger

Key documents lacking former President Donald Trump’s signature may pose issues for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case, criminal defense attorney Arthur Aidala told CNN on Monday.

Trump is confronting 34 felony counts for allegedly falsifying business documents relating to payments to porn star Stormy Daniels for her silence regarding an alleged affair ahead of the 2016 election. Aidala noted that Trump’s signature is present on a check while other key documents were never personally signed by the former president, suggesting the possibility a jury could find “reasonable doubt” over Trump’s involvement when compared to former attorney Michael Cohen, a key witness in Bragg’s case.

VIDEO AT FR LINK................

“You just have to attack, attack, attack those witnesses and look, what you’ve got to say is, Michael Cohen should be a co-defendant,” Aidala told host Anderson Cooper. “If you believe what the prosecutors just said, Michael Cohen should be a co-defendant, not a witness. He has so many reasons to lie, so many reasons to pin this on someone else, to keep himself out of jail, which he was unable to do in the federal case.”

Cohen, who is a crucial witness for prosecutors, pleaded guilty to giving false statements, as well as charges like tax evasion and campaign finance violations in 2018. Cohen first said he paid Daniels with his personal funds and that neither the Trump campaign nor the Trump Organization paid him back, but he subsequently testified to Congress that the former president directed him to make the payment, which he received reimbursement for, according to Reuters.

“I think [Cohen’s credibility] has a tremendous impact,” he added. “Look, there is paperwork that corroborates the people‘s evidence, and that‘s obviously hurtful for the president. But my understanding is, it’s not paperwork with Donald Trump‘s handwriting on it or his signature on it, except for a check. So the defense could merely be, hey, Michael Cohen did all of this. He never told his client. He just said, look, I need money for this, I need money for that. And you know, one of the witnesses who is going to testify at this trial testified for the feds and he said that the money that was given to Michael Cohen was for Stormy Daniels and for legal fees. That’s a reasonable doubt.”

In retrospect, perhaps paying Stormy Daniels was a bad idea.

He probably should have called the FBI and reported her for blackmail.

That’s what Ashley Biden did when James O’Keefe tried to get her to say that the diary was hers and that seemed to work for her.

At this point, it’s water over the bridge. I hope he gets out of it.

I think the payments came later. At least the one to Paula Jones for sexual harassment was done in 1999.

What about the 53 former intelligence agents and supervisors who did an op-ed, saying Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation. That definitely swayed the 2020 election to Biden’s side.

Alvin Bragg orchestrated a criminal scheme to corrupt the 2024 presidential election more likely.

It’s what all the Trump’s trials are about even Mr Magoo can see that.

When did the payoff happen? From Cohen in the first place. If it happened before ever ran for President there is no possibility of this being a campaign expense, even if it was during a campaign. Trump paid Cohen back and the agreement was maintained until Avenatti came along and ripped off Daniels to supposedly try and get her mo’ money. See how this can be proven in a simple date timeline?

The law of any State and anywhere in the country requires a charge of a felony to be part of the charging statement. In plain English. Bragg is a CRIMINAL without immunity (even if he thinks he has any) for not doing this. The arrogance is overwhelming— like a “Peoples Court” with charging authority out of thin air.
