Joe Biden is considering an executive order that would grant amnesty to the more than 1 million illegal immigrants who married U.S. citizens but were barred from receiving green cards.
The President is looking at taking further actions to address both the southern border crisis and illegal immigrants living in the U.S. ahead of the 2024 election as a large chunk of Americans rank the issue as their top priority.
Although immigrants, even those living in the U.S. illegally, are typically able to gain citizenship when they marry American citizens there are a number of reasons why they may have been given the benefit.

Does the marriage have to be consummated?
At the rate we’re going, pretty soon every leftist activist will be executing a pro forma “marriage” to get papers for an illegal.
And since the states enact the laws on marriage, California will probably allow it all to be done online with all fees waived and no records checks or blood tests required. The partners might not even have to meet.
Green card marriages are nothing new but have never been normalized and affirmatively promoted. That will change.
Divorce will be equally easy so that the process can be repeated every couple of months.

This requires an Act of Congress, per SCOTUS. Biden ought to also give them TOP SECRET - SCI/SBI LEVEL 10 ACCESS while he at it so they can waltz into the Pentagon and carry out the War Plans.

Since when don’t they get legal residency and the right to stay and work if you’re married to a citizen? I thought that was standard policy going way way back?
Accoding to what is printed in the explanation at the top, a lot of these people who are married to an American have been unable to get a green card for some reason. Unless they have committed some nasty crime, it would make sense to let them get the green card, job and start paying taxes and into the SS fund. Perhaps there should be some proof the marriage was real and lasted for a certain time. I wonder how much in the way of SS and other payments would be gained from allowing 1 million people starting to be legally working who are already here and connected legally to an American?
