Lady Lake police say man was in next-door business
Police in Lady Lake need help identifying a person who tried to break into a Best Buy using a sledgehammer.
The incident happened early Sunday at the Best Buy at 552 N. U.S. Highway 27/441.
Lady Lake police said the man broke into a vacant party store next to the Best Buy and used a sledgehammer to create a hole through an adjoining wall. However, he was never actually able to get into the Best Buy, and nothing was stolen, police said.
The man is believed to be white or Hispanic with a medium build. Police say man was wearing a gray pull-over hoodie with the word “Heavenly” on it, faded blue jeans, black or gray shoes, a white ball cap and black or white heavy gloves. Police said he was also carrying a silver and black backpack.

Bank robbed of $15 million, biggest in history
MARBELLA, Spain — Thieves who cleaned out the vaults in a Bank of Andalusia branch over Christmas may have taken as much as $15 million, making it the biggest bank robbery in history, sources said Wednesday.
Police said they had no clues to the identity of the thieves who knocked a hole in the bank wall from a vacant apartment next door, cut off the sophisticated alarm system and opened the safe deposit vaults with acetylene torches.
