Breaking: Humza Yousaf faces no confidence vote in Scotland after collapse of coalition with Greens
BBC ^ | April 25 | BBC

The SNP's power-sharing deal with the Scottish Greens has been scrapped

- The Greens said the SNP had "sold out future generations"

- It follows the government's decision to scrap key climate targets and a pause on the prescription of puberty blockers for under-18s

- The SNP will now form a minority government

- In a Bute House press conference, FM Humza Yousaf confirmed he is terminating the Bute House agreement "with immediate effect"

- While saying he was proud of the deal and that it had achieved successes, Yousaf said it had served its purpose" and it's in the SNP's best interest to pursue a different arrangement

The first minister insisted he's here to stay - denying he is "heading for the exit door"

Hamzo lived up to the roots of the SNP as a fascist party.

Meanwhile, the UK still doesn’t have a definite date for its next general election.

A UK general election must be held by January 25, 2025. Given how horribly the Tories are polling, Sunak has every reason to not to call an election until he has to.

It seems to me that British politics runs in a cycle. The Tories have power for 10-15 years...the the Maoists (Labour) take power for 10-15 years. And on and on it goes.

The Tories are going to get crushed in the next general election.

So I can’t blame the Tory prime minister for putting it off (which he legally can, as long as there’s one election every five years).

The last general election was on December 12, 2019. The five years will be up soon. Then say hello to Labour rule, which will make the disastrous Tories look brilliant by comparison.

While the SNP has had it’s fair share of screw ups (The entire Calmac Ferries fiasco, the “Named Person” insanity), the Greens have brought more than their fair share of both bad policy, and poor implementation.

The entire Bottle Deposit scheme was the idea of a Green minister. Instead of consulting any of the numerous bottle deposit programs in Europe and North America, to use as a template, the minister responsible, Lorna Slater, decided to reinvent the wheel and build a program from scratch, with no research into how successful program work. The result was a predictable and unimplementable disaster.

Except it’s become difficult to differentiate between them on a number of important issues (e.g. immigration, free speech).

This Hamas douchebag was never even elected to this position. Chosen by the criminal SNP when the last traitorous pig who drowned Scotland in Muslim migrants stepped down.

Just goes to show you, if you want something done, you might have to do it Yousaf.

(I’ll show myself out).

In his defense...I’m sure he wears a tartan keffiyeh with his clan’s pattern.

PMs (or whatever they’re called in Scotland) aren’t elected by the people, but selected by the party that controls Parliament. If Yousaf loses a no-confidence vote, his successor will be chosen by the SNP.
