Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell distanced himself from other Republican lawmakers who have called for the National Guard to be sent in to break up the antisemitic riots and demonstrations that have taken over multiple university campuses throughout the US over the last week and a half.
“What needs to happen, at least at the beginning, is these university presidents need to get control of the situation, allow free speech, and push back against antisemitism,” McConnell told Margaret Brennan on the CBS 'Face the Nation' program.
“I thought that was largely gone in this country, but we’ve seen a number of young people who are actually antisemitic. Why don’t they all sit down and have a civil conversation rather than trying to dominate the talk?” he asked.

South Korea has had riots often with deaths and property damage from their colleges since the Korean war. Oftentimes they are not necessarily students. They get Communist indoctrination from Tea houses around the campuses. College Presidents and Faculty are the facilitators, if not the sources of the problems.
I would have said he was a wimp and dangerously so, yesterday. Today we have seen at least three colleges shut down these disgusting disturbances. So, there is a little hope beginning to crawl out from hiding on campus.
If a college administration does not stop these basturds from disrupting classes and threatening students/faculty/staff NOW without further delay, then I am totally in agreement to definitely send in the Guard and let’s get the disruption (and danger) ended. Thank you.

Mitch is crazy like a fox. The people blocking roads and buildings don’t need to be cleared by the National Guard. Sending state and local cops in would suffice, combined with the denial of bail. Doing the National Guard thing makes Hochul look good. This is an election year. We want the Democrats to look like Treblinka camp guards. Democrats should continue doing what they’re doing now.
