If I did something like that, no one would know, for I would keep it entirely to myself. Why couldn’t she do that?

President Trump doesn’t have any dogs and it appears he never has any. But his children are dog lovers and he will value their opinions on this.

Sometimes animals on the farm have to be put down; reluctantly. It is a dirty job.

I have never known of anyone to put down a pet, or a working dog, and then publish the fact in an attempt to build a case they should be elected to higher office.

She didn’t think this through and raises questions about how much she actually thinks.

Good grief this used to be an agrarian country where such issues with ani8are common. I agree in this environment she would be de legitamized with prejudice.

There have been some freepers (primarily in other threads) aggressively defending what she did, even going so far as to suggest that because the dog attacked and killed chickens, it might have eventually attacked children. I just can’t see it that way.

—-

“Dan Lussen, a professional hunting dog trainer, told Rolling Stone that a 14-month-old dog is a ‘baby that doesn’t know any better.’

‘Why would you put a dog down with these instincts? It’s a hunting dog, and you got chickens — he doesn’t know the difference,’ Lussen added.

Zak George, a professional dog trainer, told CNN over the weekend that the behavior exhibited by Cricket was ‘very typical adolescent behavior out of a dog that’s been bred to have endless stamina and endurance’”

—-

Now, obviously the above quotes were provided to the most leftist of left wing media. But on their own merits, the quotes themselves make more sense to me than the idea that an undisciplined dog was some sort of ticking time bomb that had to be shot. That conclusion and action from Noem just seems lazy and depressing to me.

I had predicted Noem would get the VP slot to appeal suburban women voters. But suburban women are never going to wrap their minds around this story.

So I have to agree with you. Noem will not be the Vice President on the Republican ticket.

The people that murder and mutilate foetuses and newborns are going to vilify her thoroughly for killing a dog that had a propensity to kill other little furry animals. I’ll never be in politics because I’ve had to kill thousands of them.

Why would you write about that. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat an animal.

This is perhaps the dumbest thing I have seen a politician do (strictly in regards to electability) in decades.

Yeah, there’s a contingent in here of ‘That’s how we did it on the farm back in the day” folks, and most of us over 60 remember how it was done ‘back in the day’ but it’s a small minority of Americans, right, left, and center. About the same size contingent as the ‘Women shouldn’t vote’ or ‘State legislatures should select Senators’ folks, which is to say a small percentage of even the most conservative people.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.
