Chicago, Il, November 3,1995 ...The new leader of an Islamic terrorist organization ran an Islamic studies think tank at the University of South Florida (USF) about which the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) had raised serious concerns with university officials.
Ramadan Abdallah became the leader of Islamic Jihad for Palestine, a known terrorist group that has taken responsibility for the killing of dozens of Israelis, after the assassination in Malta of Fathi Shikaki. Mr. Abdallah was the Administrative Director of the World Islam and Studies Enterprise (WISE), a think tank of the Islamic Committee for Palestine (ICP). ADL has been monitoring the ICP and its constituent organizations since 1989. The League's 1993 report, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Muslim Brotherhood: Islamic Extremists and the Terrorist Threat to America, detailed the relationship between ICP and its links to Islamic extremists. When WISE affiliated with the University of South Florida, Mr. Abdallah became an adjunct professor of Middle East Studies even though his field was economics.
"That someone so closely linked to a terrorist organization went undetected for so long raises serious questions," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. "It was clear to us that there was considerable cause for concern about WISE."
WISE sponsored several visits of Islamic extremists to the United States and held joint conferences with USF in which visiting extremists participated. ADL urged the Chancellor of the State University System to conduct an investigation into the WISE/USF relationship, and was assured both by Chancellor Charles Reed and USF President Betty Castor that they would look into the appropriateness of the relationship. USF subsequently froze the cooperation agreement with WISE and in September 1995 severed the relationship on the basis of contractual flaws.
Probably an adjunct professor.
Always watch the adjuncts.
I would like to see someone blow the lid of of the whole corporate/military/university complex.
A complete investigation of Un-American faculty, advisors and a look into the slanted curriculum.
Literature curiculum from UC Santa Cruz would blow your mind. You can search around their site for it.
Maybe the reason this person was not detected is because in 1999, Abraham H. Foxman and his commissars at the ADL were working with Louis Freeh and warning everyone that extremist Christians were the biggest terrorist threat in America. Crazy Christians were going to run amok at one second past midnight when the year 2000 arrived.
Too bad it took planes crashing into skyscrapers for Abraham H. Foxman to discover Christians were not the threat he thought they were after all. Or maybe his change of heart had more to do with a born-again Christian becoming president.
