The Office of the Presidential Prayer Team has asked that I relay this information to my friends and colleagues so that it will reach its goal of enlisting 2.8 million people (1% of the population) to pray regularly for the President--especially in our current crisis. I recommend that you join this effort. There is no fee or obligation. Just sign up and you'll receive a window decal in the mail, plus e-mail updates on the specific prayer needs of the President and his Cabinet.

It's a shame that believers don't follow the biblical mandate to do this without prompting and regardless of the situation.

Oh, I'm sure there are many who do, but sadly....not enough. There does seem to be a newfound interest in doing so for this president, but not so much when the last one was in office. And once you get beyond the Prez, it's tough to find believers who can name their congressional representative, state senator, or even their mayor. I asked a room full of 50 Christian women that question once - and found one who could tell me the name of her congressperson.

Let's be honest here, OldFriend, the Body needs a revival of obedience.
