The Taliban ambassador is right about one thing: since Secretary Powell got Israel's Foreign Minister Shimon Peres to meet with Yasser Arafat, its time for Secretary Powell to take his own hectoring and pressuring Israel to deal with the godfather of 20th century terrorism by going ahead and meeting with the godfather of 21st century terrorism Osama Bin Laden. After all every one knows that with respect to terrorism, there is no military solution there is only political solution! A strategy Powell's friend Peres would enthusiastically endorse and besides the war is already lost.

Their word don't mean nothin'. Anyone hanging on their words hoping for peace should have a statue of Neville Chamberlain in their home. Tally banana. Slip on your appeal. Whole world a' coming. May God have mercy on your worthless souls.

The trial will result in a predictable ending. That the US is at fault. We need to kill these evil people, before they kill again.

"Zaeef's comments, which could not be immediately verified, were the first indication by Afghanistan's hardline Islamic rulers that they would not hand over bin Laden under any circumstances."This statement is false. There has been more than one article posted on this forum reporting that the Taliban would try bin Laden in an Islamic court only. They have always insisted on this from day one.

That clinches it for me. Not one American life should be lost from this point out trying to bring this guy in.
Time to consider tactical nukes.

In a country that kills men for playing cards, and women lose their fingers for wearing nail polish I would have to bet that being found guilty of killing innocent Americans is a misdemeanor. Not a punishable crime

To quote Iago from the movie Aladdin, "Why am I NOT surprised? I think I might die from not-surprised..."

Zaeef's comments, which could not be immediately verified, were the first indication by Afghanistan's hardline Islamic rulers that they would not hand over bin Laden under any circumstances. The movement admits to hosting bin Laden, Washington's prime suspect in masterminding the September 11 attacks, but has repeatedly said it would give him up if presented with convincing evidence.
And this is exactly an example why the Bush administration has stressed you can't believe anything that the TaliBoobs say!
