A liberal limey rag makes tenuous connection to far right wing groups.

With nothing but innuendo.

I'm no fan of militias or "The Republic of Texas" type groups, but, frankly, most of these guys would rather target Arabs than their own countrymen.

The problem is that 20% already believe this, and another 40% just need a nudge! The left is unable to think without assistance and these articles do the trick. I am willing to bet that ABCNNBCBS report this as fact within 2 news cycles.

They claim they are mobilising to fight the "New World Order".

True there's little evidence from this story to connect militias to the current anthrax scare, but there is evidence to link Terry Nichols to middle east terror networks, such as his trip to the P.I. at the same time as Ramzi Yousef. The oft cited description of John Doe #3 as appearing middle eastern.

I don't see many of these militia groups as patriotic in any but a racial and territorial sense. More than a few of their leaders have the destruction of the current form of American gov't in mind. A goal not far removed from Bin Laden's.To have two groups so focused in their emnity towards the same institution, the U.S. gov't, and both so sure of their goals that they have confidence to use the other group to help achieve them is not far fetched. It's not proven by any stretch, butit's worth looking into.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did have something to do with it. The targets hit are not ringing true for mid-eastern terrorists. Tom Brokaw, T. Daschle - these people are hated by the ultra right groups. Also, the fact that there is a coalition, the fact that NATO is assisting in guarding our country, the creation of the Homeland Security office, the Terrorist Bill being passed which will allow for more monitoring, and their general hatred of any rules might make them try and disrupt the government.

Hopefully not, attacks like these on fellow Americans during a time of attack and war would be treasonous in my opinion.
