It's real simple. These people (and I'm being gracious bestowing the term on them) have sworn to kill Americans and Jews (or presumably any non-muslims who get in their way) given any opportunity to do so. It would therefore be justifiable self-defense for us to simply put a bullet in the brain of each and every one. Consequently, anything less than that is showing them more compassion and mercy than they deserve. Human rights considerations are irrelevant when a maniac is trying to kill you. Survival becomes paramount.
