More juvenile comments from kindergarden set around here. So typical
Now, don't start flaming me, folks. You know who you are. I imagine you probably are old enough to treat others with respect and to abide by FR rules when posting, even if your behavior today does not demonstrate this maturity.
Yes.
Their comments are not only puerile (the nicest way to put it) but inappropriate. They forget this is a news and information web site.
It didn't used to be that way. A simple, earnest question would be rewarded - within a few replies - of the correct and detailed answer. Unfortunately, word about FR apparently spread over to Usenet, where the Mode de Jour is to deride all serious queries and deflect all attempts at a straight answer.
Witness the Moose & Cheese thread the other day. Someone who was new wanted to know what the big joke was about mooses and cheese. 300+ posts later, not one straight answer. Just a bunch of adolescent, juvenile one-liners full of derision - the mark of a gaggle of children who are too full of themselves by half.
This is one of the reasons why I don't spend NEARLY as much time on FR as I once did. Back a few months, FR was a great place to discuss breaking news, issues, etc. Now, if there's a breaking story, the first 10 replies will be snide jokes, followed by someone's 40-post bump list, and then everyone gets into Full Usenet One-Line-Reply Mode. It's become almost impossible to get useful information around here.
Of course, that's just what these disruptors want. Destroy the enemy from within.

Those who see cause to joke when other's loved ones may be in harm's way, are the dregs.
But that's OK, apparently. If you're "conservative" and hate Clinton you're allowed to act like a jerk.
