This is big news. I know he stopped fundraising after his daughter passed away last month. I wonder if her death was a factor in his decision.

His daughter was 38 and is survived by a husband and two sons. I believe it was a sudden death due to a heart attack. My heart just breaks for him and his family.

DOH!! Shame on me! That wasn't C&PD, it was 'Hunt for Red October'!! Forty lashes with a wet noodle for me!! That's the only 'Clancy' movie I don't like watching in re-runs because I can't STAND Alec Baldwin; Harrison Ford was much better in the role of Jack Ryan. BTW does anyone know when they're going to release 'Sum of All Fears'? I think I read somewhere that Ben Affleck is going to take on the role of Jack Ryan in that one. I'm not sure I'd like that, but I'll have to see the movie, the book was GREAT! But who would play the young Mrs. Ryan?
