In light of the media's fascination with sex scandals in the Catholic clergy, it's worth noting that many of them virtually ignore other cases of pedophilia.
Hardly anyone made a fuss about the disgraced Bill Clinton's pardon of disgraced former Rep. Mel "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" Reynolds, D-Ill., a crony of Jesse Jackson.
And there have been countless cases of teachers in government schools sexually exploiting the children they are supposed to teach, but the media don't show much interest here either.
To understand the double standard, just look at the media establishment's agenda: government schools good (no matter how bad), black Democrats beyond criticism.

Overlooked in the batch of last-minute pardons and commutations signed by ex-President Clinton was the name of Mel Reynolds, the former Illinois congressmen who went to jail in 1994 for having sex with a minor and solicitation of child pornography.
After examining the evidence against Reynolds, it's easy to see why Clinton sympathized with him.
Exhibit A was a tape of a lurid phone conversation Reynolds had with his underage girlfriend, which surely must have impressed a president who had regular phone sex chats with his own girlfriend Monica Lewinsky.
In one of the gamier exchanges, the former congressman proclaims his good luck at the prospect of having a threesome with his young ladyfriend and a Catholic schoolgirl.
"Did I win the Lotto?" the delighted legislator asks.
Reynolds' language is too filthy to reproduce here verbatim. But even a censored version of his comments prompts questions about Clinton's judgment in favoring such a pervert with a commutation...
...like Michael Jackson.
The story for US---the news consumer---is that the media of course seeks and pounces upon anything to discredit anything CHRISTIAN (and I assure you the Church deserves EVERYTHING it gets for THIS situation.)
HOWEVER, the MEDIA needs to now go after GLAAD, N.O.W., A.C.L.U., and the myriad other homosexual organizations that are actually fronts for the promotion of the advancement and legalization of adult-child, intergenerational sexual contact. The egregious, disgraceful behavior uncovered in the Catholic Church is a MICROCOSM of what is going on with the tacit approval of society, under the aegis of "homosexual rights."
Remember----if ANYONE made the charges being made against the Catholic Church against any NON-Christian organization---say against GLAAD or some homo organization, it would be HATE SPEECH, and it would clearly violate homosexual rights laws in the states where they've been passed.
Since we know that the true religion of the left is now sexual license, and that, even if the left still, for the moment, disapproves of sex between prepubescent children and adults, the left in fact now approves of sexual acts, emphatically including homosexual acts, involving adolescents. So, for the left, the priests' fault isn't the sex. It's the failure to militantly and publicly defend the morality of that sex.

I have the transcipt conversation he had with 14 year old. It's obscene! He went to jail, was pardoned, and a mystery to the media. Why do you think that happens every day?
Why do the socialists care that we pray to our God, why do they care that we keep the values of our religion sacred. We don't bother them with our beliefs, we can't...that's according to a federal bench that makes me a criminal for praying in a public place. If we pray in our own homes, and our churches, they still spit on us for going to church and praying. They purpose that praying is to be belittled, and it is a sign of weakness. They throw their little dirtballs at us with every chance that they have. The next assault of the socialists will be our churches, it's starting now. The next assault will be our homes, and that's starting as well.
A man is never so tall as when he kneels, and prays to the one God that gave him life, and soul.

I am not Catholic. I am Baptist. I am a member of one of the largest most conservative Southern Baptist churches. I can't speak for anyone but me, but let me tell you---we don't DWELL UPON our liturgical differences with other worshippers of the true God. Our concern at my church is for the people who don't know Jesus, or who worship a false God, and not the true God.
I personally feel strongly that our enemy---the godless left and its media and academia and allies in government and in the sordid gay underworld---is so strong and so menacing that we'd better not waste a moment or an ounce of energy arguing canonical differences among Protestants and Catholics. And for my Jewish brothers (I am of Jewish descent, incidentally, making me a Baptist-Jew, I always say)---you and I worship God. We read the same Bible. And I love you. There are ONE BILLION pagan, moon-worshipping heathen mohammedan barbarians at our gates with millions INSIDE our gates; we cannot afford the luxury of debate over the finer points of our faith. (Maybe in eternity while worshipping God we can relish endless dialectics over His Word and its infinite depth and wonder!)
The media unite us because it seeks the destruction of all Christians and Jews (though of course any idol worshipping, incense burning, nature and animal worshipping, kool-aid drinking cult is given the star treatment from the Sunday magazines to PBS specials)---- media are out to get ALL of us who worship GOD. And it actively seeks to divide us. Ever notice that? Media is agent provacatuer, provoking people who otherwise live and work in peace, and if there is no conflict, media MANUFACTURES conflict (for example, the pre-fab Catholic/Baptist conflicts media spread like anthrax during the Republican primaries of 2000.....It didn't get far; partially, I think, much to the chagrin of the left, because how much more could people be united than united behind LIFE, as Catholics and Baptists are! How much more love and respect could someone have for another than Baptists have for the UNYIELDING stance of most Catholics in opposition to abortion in the face of the forces of hell itself!)
Why do the socialists care that we pray to our God
The answer to this is clear, and it's found in the writings of Marx and others.
For socialism or statism, totalitarian statism, communism or whatever it is called to work, the STATE must be PARAMOUNT. NOTHING can be HIGHER than the State.
If there is ANYTHING higher, if there is ANY authority higher than the State, any values higher than those established by the State, an morality OTHER than that of the State, then the State cannot CONTROL the people, its authority is challenged, and it cannot remain in power.
Communists know this well: GOD MUST be removed for the TOTAL STATE to succeed. As long as there is God, there can not be a total State.
Regarding my previous question, why do you feel there was no attention paid to the pardon issued by Clinton? And once again, what do the Boy Scouts have to do with this?
