Man Injured in N.Y. Van Explosion

March 24, 2002, 12:43 PM ESTNEW YORK -- A van exploded on a Brooklyn street Sunday, injuring a man, police said.
The man was getting into the van in a residential neighborhood when it exploded, said Officer Gerard Cole, a police spokesman.
The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital. His identity was not immediately released.
