I'm surprised no one else has posted something along these lines. I have a button on my bookbag that I got at that FReeper booth at CPAC that says "NEVER FORGET 9/11." I hope for the rest of my life that I don't forget my memories of this atrocity on our homeland. As long as terrorist acts by jihadist extremists occur in this world, we should keep this memory fresh in our minds. Even after we wipe out the terrorists and dispose their ideas on the ashheap of history, we should never forget the lives that were lost. We honor their memory by going after the terrorists, and staying consistant on the war.
As conservatives, we also must stay true to our principles and not truly react to these atrocities with just our emotions. We're no better than the leftists if we stick merely with slogans instead of the truth. The true roots of our conservatism is with our tradition (i.e God, virtue, prudence, etc.), our liberty, and with great figures like Edmund Burke, Russell Kirk, Frank S. Meyer, Ronald Reagan, et al. Stay the course everyone!

This morning I drove by some clown with a poster in the back of his car in red, white, and blue that said "No More Oil War" I just about drove off the road while exercising my constitutionally protected first amendment right of displaying the middle digit of my right hand to him.
Soldiers are dying so that we may live in freedom from 9-11 ever happening again. I know I will never forget.
