Machiavelli said that we are in a never ending struggle between the haves and the have nots. When the have nots overthrow the haves, they repeat the EXACT same formula and become as oppressive as the former rulers.
Our founding Fathers had a brilliant plan that made every person a free citizen, able to pursue whatever they fancied. The way our country evolved PROVES the superiority of thier philosophy. No longer would we be Serfs to a Royal Crown. Anything we made, we could keep. The whole foundation of the Revolutionary War was our ability to live as Free Men.
I find it amusing that modern Liberals squawk about "Social Evolution" when they talk about Socialism(Communism.). They want a nation full of peasants working for a ruling Oligarchy(The Communist Party members I presume.).
Is it just me or do these "Idealists" wish to return to a government where we are ruled by a central authority that dictates how we live? Since we are so modern the central authority would not be called royalty, but isn't the end result the same?
They want a nation of serfs serving under an unelected group to dictate how they live. What makes people embrace this insane ideaology?
We have thrown off opression of "royal" fools and declared every persons rights sovereign, yet they want to return us to the stagnation of petty despots. They claim to be liberal, that is false. Conservatism is 19th century Liberalism at its finest, these modern Liberals are nothing more then modern day slavers.
I for one will NEVER serve the state. IN the USA, the state is OUR servant and I will not be browbeaten by someone that is SUPPOSED to be my servant. In our FREE country, the state serves ME!
Most Americans think like we do and the Socialists never show thier true colors but I have to tell you(As has been said above by good people.) FREEDOM CAN NEVER DIE!
It is IMHO one of the greatest things that America has produced... a few City-States had it to limited success but WE are the ideal and I find it sickening that these morons are begging for a noose around thier necks. I would find it amusing but they want the noose around my neck as well.
NO! -Socialism is GREAT for the 50% of the people who are supported by the other 50%!!
They get uniforms, job security, great benefits, maternity leave, affirmative action, 'same-sex' domestic partner benefits, medical, dental, disability, blah, blah, blah . . .
Compare this to the schmuck in the 'private' (producing) sector . . .
Now you know "why's" or NAZI Germany -- the people who loved the NAZI socialist system had it GOOD !! Uniforms, great jobs, steady paychecks, social status . . . You might have fit in too !!

My town recieved 2 MILLION dollars to fix the roads. Guess what, they suck. They could give me 250000 to fix the roads and I could easily and make a profit.
Somehow I can't see the Greenies taking to this phrase too well! Obviously modern Democrats are not pure socialists; the environmental aspect of their retorict is rather out of joint with the whole working class dribble.
The journey to the planned utopia will begin with the words,"Get in the cars"!
If so, I do not mind defining my position although it should be pretty clear.
Remember that 54 members of Congress are card-carrying members of the Democratic Socialists of America. That's 10% of all of Congress, and 20% of all Democrats.
