Youngsters match muscles with Arnold Schwarzenegger as they help the actor carry bags full of petitions for more after-school funding to the Sacramento County clerk's office Wednesday.

750K parasites want other people to pay to babysit their kids. It is not enough already that the get free school, medical care, food stamps??? How sad that parents are not watching their own kids. And yet another Republican trying to make government, at all levels, bigger. Arnold must be planning to run for gov.

Arnold is so cool. True Lies has been on just about every day lately. I don't even mind (too much) when my hubby watches the Jamie Lee dance scene. It is sooooo funny.

Was it my imagination or not? It seemed to me that the speculation in the press was pretty positive that Arnold was gonna run for office. And then poof, all of a sudden tabloid TV was running pieces about Arnold cheating on Maria. I remember thinking that someone was sending him a signal.

I used to think I would go back to work after the kid got older. But now, I realize that the older she gets, the more she will need me. Those are dangerous hours. Half of the parentless kids in our neighborhood roam the streets, and the other half are locked in their homes in front of the boob tube. My daughter can't play with her best friend because she is cowering alone in her house, afraid someone will knock on the door or ring the telephone. Oh yes, and ours is a nice, respectable neighborhood.

Parents have abandoned their kids, and I don't know what we can do to make them accept their responsibilities. Latch key kids have big problems, and if we don't address them, our social decline will continue.

I don't know what the answers are. I can only take care of my family (even though some of the neighbor moms think I should take care of theirs--they have jobs, you see). I am not going to fault Arnold for trying to do something to help.
