The voters' signatures aim to put an after-school funds boost on the ballot.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's official task in the capital city Wednesday was to announce he has more than enough signatures to place on the November ballot an initiative that would increase funds available for after-school programs.

Was it my imagination or not? It seemed to me that the speculation in the press was pretty positive that Arnold was gonna run for office. And then poof, all of a sudden tabloid TV was running pieces about Arnold cheating on Maria. I remember thinking that someone was sending him a signal.
Parents have abandoned their kids, and I don't know what we can do to make them accept their responsibilities. Latch key kids have big problems, and if we don't address them, our social decline will continue.
I don't know what the answers are. I can only take care of my family (even though some of the neighbor moms think I should take care of theirs--they have jobs, you see). I am not going to fault Arnold for trying to do something to help.
