House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt, D-Mo., called it "the definitive vote in this Congress on the future stability and security of Social Security." Original they are not.

Republicans on Thursday pushed through the House a bill Those big bullies. Always "pushing through" bills. The Democrats, OTOH, pass historic legislation.

American way of tax cutting: raise taxes 20%, then cut the raise itself by 30% and call it a 30% tax cut! The sheeple and the rest of them cheer!

Dude, any more permanent tax cuts and I'll have to file for bankruptcy.

>>Democrats called it an unwise raid on Social Security
>>that would increase government debt, but the GOP majority
>>prevailed on a largely party-line 229-198 vote.
This is great news. Now, I wonder if anyone in the GOP is going to defend this vote? Or are they going to let DemocRATs (once again) characterize the vote as "a raid on SS." For instance, do the pubbies have any intention to inform Americans that the RATs raided SS during the forty years they controlled Congress ... and never once did they express concern about it. Or, how about the fact that there is no "SS Fund." It's an accounting hoax.
