Even lesser known and certainly more rare are the long-extinct machines made by Henderson, Scott, Excelsior, New Imperial, Nimbus and Rudge, among literally hundreds of others.

Don't forget the Enfields. The Royal Enfield was built from molds and tooling bought from Indian when they went bust.

I ride a Harley, but I was all set for the resumption of the Norton. They had a nice website up, with great artist renditions of what the scooters were supposed to look like. Their cruiser was supposed to have a small V8 in it.

Sadly the last I heard was that the CEO was embezzling funds and I guess the whole project went down the tubes.
