TOLEDO, Ohio -- A bank robbery suspect whose getaway driver took off without him made one big mistake, according to police.

Eric Davis (pictured, left), 31, of Detroit allegedly jumped into the back seat of an unmarked police car Tuesday in Toledo -- and ordered the officer to start driving. Instead, police said that the officer grabbed the suspect's gun and jumped on top of him. A group of nearby high school students reportedly helped get him under control.

Davis is charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping.

Police said that Davis was running toward a getaway car but fell before getting there. They said that is when he jumped into the wrong car.
