SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Researchers at the University of California, Santa Cruz, say the state could see warmer temperatures and a smaller snowpack over the next half-century because of global warming, a change that could diminish water supplies in a state already familiar with drought.

The report is to be published Friday in the journal Geophysical Research Letters. It looks at the effects of doubling the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from preindustrial times.
Actually nothing will happen, All 15micron radiation available at the surface, on which the CO2 component of the greenhouse effect depends, is totally absorbed and dissipated in molecular collisions within much less than 100ft of atmosphere. Adding more CO2 concentration in the atmosphere will not cause any additional absorption and transfer to kinetic energy of molecules (i.e. atmospheric Temperature) than exists today.
Consider a flashlight shining on a piece of cardboard. Nothing get through as the entire beam is absorbed. Add a second sheet behind the first, nothing more can happen, all absorption that can be done is done already.
Oh, no! They are going to move to the midwest where there is plenty of water. We don't need any more liberals here in Minnesota, there are already too many!
