What do you make of Bishop Wilton Gregory saying that John XXIII's (no less) 1961 document on not ordaining faggots is not obeyed in AmChurch because in the august opinion of Gregory who has now made his bones as a consistent and obviously worthy successor of Hotbottom Bernardin, Pickles Pilarczyk and other USCC worthies and as a disciple of the Mad Monk and Lavender Queen of Milwaukee (the former Mrs. Bugnini), refusing to ordain faggots, a refusal required by obedience to direct Vatican orders is "not consistent with Church teaching." He forgot the Am before the word Church.
Does the National "Catholic" Reporter also publish Matthew Fox, Hans Kung, Schillebeecx (Sp.?), serialize Andrew Greeley's porno novels? Rectalbert is not as busy with administrative details, maybe National "Catholic" Register could commission a series by him as to how to love your fellow man: Our Seminarians' Body Parts, Ourselves; or a weekly series of reprints of his red hot love letters to Bugnini his, ummm, partner in wreckovating rubric before wreckovating cathedrals, or perhaps, N"C"R can publish a series coordinated by Rectalbert called AmChurch Magisterium, focusing on the devastated "dream" of 35 years ago, the seminary love affairs, the artsy and craftsy visions, the Kumbaya counterculture, unilateral disarmament theology; welfare state theology; knuckling under to the reds theology; listening sessions to learn frm the abortionists theology; wallowing in lavender lovenests theology; idolatry theology and how you can use diocesan funds to make statues of your heretical self to put on your wreckovated cathedral's "altar" theology; snappy comebacks to Vatican busybody theology; disobedience theology. Why, the possibilities are just endless! The National "Catholic" Reporter could offer replicas of the sacred Rembert statue as premiums to NCR subscribers, suitable for home worship after the Catholics return to run the subscribers' home parishes.
Read Goodbye, Good Men, if you dare.
Run out of things to say, hardly!
We will have our Church back in the United States.
I read it over the weekend. Horrific.
Peter Kreeft has a tagline that goes "America is beyond argument; America needs exorcists". I'd say that is true of most of the American seminaries and "vocations teams," as well.
Ordaining married men isn't the cure. Ordaining priestesses (if we could do that) wouldn't be the cure. Those things are just stalking-horses for the real agenda, which is nothing less than the Satanic destruction of the Church. When you have seminarians being given the choice of watching pornographic movies or having their lives destroyed by a psychiatric inquisition, when you have an openly homosexual priest jumping on a table in a faculty meeting, screaming, and spitting in the face of a female seminary professor who quoted Aquinas on the immorality of homosexual acts ... you have clear evidence of the demonic.
