Remember ... the CNN interview was the one where John Walker admitted that he had ALREADY HEARD about the attack on the World Trade Center. I think this is a highly incriminating tape. I hope we do not waiver ...

I saw burn the lawyer too....Godless azzholes

This is amazing. My prediction: He will get off, become the darling of the pathologically liberal Hollywood types, begin dating Winnona Ryder and eventually be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Interview lacked Miranda warningI didn't know news organizations were required to give the Miranda warning.

CNN DOES NOT have to give miranda warnings, they are NOT a law enforcement agency, Lindh knew he was talking to CNN, I heard them identify themselves, he knew he was on camera, the reason they want it kicked out is that you CAN HEAR his confession, all of it...THEN you hear the medic say that he is going to give him a shot for pain. Therefore, Lindh CAN NO longer say that he was under the influence of a drug when he talked!!!!!

You are so right! And since WHEN did the press have to give the Miranda??????

The only possible reason to argue that a news organization was required to give a Miranda warning would be if it could be shown that the news organization was acting as agents of the government.
Luckily, we are talking about CNN here so nobody will EVER believe they were working for the Bush administration.

Despite the fact he works for CNN, reporter Pelton deserves a high-five for telling the truth. If he were reporter Robert Fisk, he'd be lying his head off sticking it to the US government and covering up for poor, misunderstood Johnny Jihad.

"He is really quite lucky I was there to take care of him," Pelton said, adding that although he contacted Lindh's family after finding their son, no one has ever thanked him. Telling statement, don't you think?
Makes you wonder whether the Lindhs engaged the attorney to defend their son...or themselves?

For that matter, since when does the military have to give the Miranda warning to captured enemy personnel in a foreign country?

Despite the fact he works for CNN, reporter Pelton deserves a high-five for telling the truth. If I remember correctly, Pelton is freelance and doesn't work for CNN alone (which is true of most newspeople in the field)

Man, they are going to pull out all the stops on this one, aren't they?
