Report: 'Lily Whites' Recruited to Carry Out OKC Bombing

A congressional task force investigating the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing had information suggesting that Islamic plotters recruited two "lily whites" - non-Middle Easterners with no connection to prior terrorist activity - to carry out the attack ultimately perpetrated by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, according to a report broadcast late Saturday.

Terrorism expert Yoseff Bodansky discussed the previously secret evidence obtained by Congress during an interview with Fox News Channel's Rita Cosby.

COSBY: I'm going to read some information that we obtained here at Fox News - something else you wrote that, more importantly, that the congressional task force learned: That two "lily whites" - these are people sort of considered non-Middle Easterners - had been recruited to carry out the bombing of an American federal building.

BODANSKY: "Lily whites" are people that have no - nothing to do with ethnic background, that's not true. "Lily whites" is the term used for people who have no past known encounter with security authorities anywhere in the U.S. or anywhere in the world. And therefore, there's no way they will raise an alarm bell with the security authorities once they're involved in something.

COSBY: So these are people who would sort of be out of the scope?

BODANSKY: It can be somebody from the heart of Africa, somebody from the middle of Australia or anywhere else. (End of Excerpt)

Couple Bodansky comments with a report on Judicial Watch Radio last week, where Judicial Watch co-counsel Mike Johnson detailed a very specific warning that came just hours before the OKC bombing from Washington, D.C.'s then-top terrorism expert.

"Vincent Cannistraro, who is the former Chief of Counter-Terrorism for the CIA, called Special (FBI) Agent Kevin L. Foust, and informed him that one of his best sources from Saudi Arabia intelligence specifically advised him that there was a squad of people currently in the United States, very possibly Iraqi, and I'm quoting, 'who have been tasked with carrying out terrorist acts against the United States,'" said Johnson.

"The Saudi informant, who's part of the Saudi Counter-Terrorism Service, told him that he had seen the list and that 'first on the list was the Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.'"

Johnson said other targets on the Saudi informant's list included Immigration of Naturalization Service offices in Houston and what was then the FBI's counterterrorism headquarters in Los Angeles.

More on OKC and Islamic terrorists. I wonder if the lid will ever blow off this in the main stream media.

More evidence Joseph Farah's right. There's no reason to doubt Timothy McVeigh's and Terry Nichol's role in the OKC bombing but its becoming more clear radical Islamist terrorists may have made a trial run in America's heartland as a precusor to 911. It allowed them to test America's defenses and gauge the reaction of American authorities to terrorism and it also allowed them to find out how to work undetected until it was time to finally strike. Using native born Americans as "cover agents" may have been a front to draw the attention of the authorities away from Middle Easterners' building a substantial network of terror cells in this country. One of them perpetrated 911. Only God knows how many more still remain at large ready to carry out future acts of mayhem, terror, and mass destruction.

It may never reach critical mass...but it's getting close.

Scuse me.. But, why was this kept secret?

I fail to see the implications and the advantages of not simply stating this as fact in the first place.

I mean, Big Deal..

C. FBI Special Agent Kevin Foust.

The report originally generated concerning the information provided by the
Saudi Arabian official came from a telephone call from a retired CIA
official to FBI Agent Kevin L. Foust on April 19, 1995--the very day of the
bombing. D.E. 2482 at 13. Agent Foust is no stranger to tracking down and
prosecuting international terrorists. In fact, according to information and
press reports in the public domain, Agent Foust appears to be one of the
FBI's leading investigators in charge of apprehending and prosecuting
terrorists. See D.E.

2482 Exhibit "D" (New York Times, Monday, October 7, 1996. The defense
believes the ex-CIA official called Foust and the CIA because he did credit
his informant and the informant's information, and that the government's
claim that ex-CIA official believed his informant was "untrustworthy" is
nothing more than ex-CIA official's efforts to protect his source. The
ex-CIA official it must be remembered is a long time intelligence operative.
Certainly, nothing in the documents furnished by the government report the
ex-CIA official as describing a Saudi official in that country's
intelligence services, charged with protecting the Saudi royal family, as
"untrustworthy."

Agent Foust, along with Agent Robert F. Clifford, were instrumental in
apprehending Omar Mohammed Ali Rezaq, a member of the notorious Abu Nidal
terrorist group, who, along with two other terrorists, hijacked an Egyptian
airliner in 1985. Separating the passengers by nationality, Rezaq pulled
aside the Americans and the Israelis, summoned five to the aircraft's open
front doorway and then fired point blank into the back of their heads.
Although three persons survived this brutality, two women were killed, one
an Israeli and one an American. D.E. 2482 at 14.

This incident involved Egypt Air Flight 648 on November 23, 1985, which was
a Boeing 737 carrying 98 passengers and crew members. Rezaq and two other
men seized the plane shortly after takeoff on a flight from Athens to Cairo.
In an ensuing gun battle, an Egyptian Sky Marshal on the plane shot and
killed the hijacking leader, and the pilot landed the plane in Malta.
Eventually, Egyptian commandos set out an explosive charge under the
airplane and rushed the plane. In the ensuing confrontation, the blast
rocked the rear of the plane and a fireball blew forward through the cabin.
Fifty-seven more passengers and one hijacker died in the raid from smoke
inhalation, explosive wounds or gun shots. Rezaq was in fact shot in the
chest as he fled the plane. D.E. 2482 at 14.

Rezaq was prosecuted in Malta which, in 1992, was considering whether to
free him, possibly as early as 1996. It was then that Agent Foust was
enlisted to build a case for prosecuting Rezaq in the United States. When
the Maltese government released Rezaq, Agent Foust and others tracked him
down through the Sudan, by way of Ghana Nigeria and Ethiopia finally
catching up with him and apprehending him in Nigeria.[18]

FOOTNOTES:
18 Agent Foust may also have been involved in the investigation of the
Achille Lauro case. Agent Foust is apparently knowledgeable concerning the
travel of terrorist Youssef Magied Molgi and has had contact with Italian
authorities concerning the case. See D.E. 2482 (Exhibit "E").

Clearly, the information concerning the possibility that Iraq enlisted
mercenaries to commit the bombing of the Murrah Building was relayed and
generated by people who should know. The phone call originally came to the
ex-CIA official, former Chief of Counterterrorism Operations for the Central
Intelligence Agency, who then notified Agent Foust. These men are dearly
familiar with such matters and their familiarity and background concerning
international terrorism should give weight to the information contained in
their reports and the fact that an official telephoned Foust and the CIA
immediately after the receiving the phone call from Saudi Arabia is strong
evidence he did not consider the Saudi General "untrustworthy".

Teflon Terrorists

Snip...(this is not dated)

Yesterday, it was made known that over the last few days, U.S. law enforcement agencies had received intelligence information originating in the Middle East, warning of a large terrorist attack on U.S. soil. No alert was sounded as a result of this information.[501]

Northrop also said that the German Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND, the equivalent of the American CIA), also sent a warning to the U.S. State Department. That was followed by a warning from the Saudis. "A Saudi Major General… informed former CIA Counterterrorism Chief Vince Cannistraro, who in turn informed the FBI. There is a 302 (FBI report) in existence."[502]

The agent Cannistraro passed the information to was Kevin L. Foust, one of the FBI's leading counterterrorism agents. Ironically, the information was given to Foust on the same day as the bombing.

According to the information obtained by Stephen Jones, the Saudi Arabian Intelligence Service reported that Iraq had hired seven Pakistani mercenaries — Afghani War veterans known as the Mujahadeen — to bomb targets in the U.S., one of which was the Alfred P. Murrah Building. They also advised the FBI that — as is often the case — the true identity of the sponsor may not have been revealed to the bombers.[503]

Interestingly, Northrop stated that three Israelis were in Oklahoma before the April 19th attack to "keep an eye on things." Avi Lipkin and William Northrop were two such individuals.[504]

In addition to these warnings — as well as the mighty armada of U.S. intelligence agencies, analysts, and surveillance technology which would have undoubtedly been monitoring the situation — at least one local informant tried to warn authorities in advance. His warnings went unheeded.

Hatlo? Oh, Lordy! I've revealed my age! Jimmy Hatlo was a cartoonist popular when I was a kid ( try a web search, you'll be surprised ) whose signature line was "...and a tip of the Hatlo hat to..." whoever gave him an idea for a strip.

The closest I can come to it is this:

David Schippers and Jayna Davis had a GREAT interview on this and more on Quinn in the Morning in Pittsburgh last week! This mideastern connection to OKC is a slam dunk.

I ask you all, what percantage of the American public do you think know about all this information? You see, if the answer as I suspect is around or less than maybe 1%, there is the problem.

Mostly anything can be done in this country as long as most of the ignorant, uninformed, disinterested people never learn of it. It's amazing, but true. Blame the lamestreamers and Congress for being part of the problem.

p.s. You see, for instance, if there is a terrible earthquake somewhere in the world and thousands are killed, it didn't happen if the media doesn't tell you. No one is the wiser!

While you are blaming the media for keeping a lid on this story, look a little deeper and explain to me why the FBI covered up the Mideast connection. There is where the real question should be asked. Also ask yourself, if this is true, what you think of the FBI being our protector in the War on Terror.
