Just who is it that has been "forcing" you to believe the way Latter-Day Saints believe?
I'm not a member so it doesn't apply to me. If I were...Converts have to believe as you believe. Wear the clothes, don't drink, don't smoke, follow "the rules" we've made.
A convert who doesn't do those things is kicked out aren't they? That is "forcing" someone to believe as you do. No dissent or choices allowed. You will comply.
Wearing your silk drawers now? Or have "the rules" changed lately?

Converts have to believe as you believe.

By definition a convert believes what they are converting to. It is their choice to convert.

All the stuff you're talking about--food, clothes, etc.--shows an ignorance about "Mormon" beliefs, but those are just details.

This is the Church of Jesus Christ. It is His. He selects the leaders, He directs the Church. The Church functions toward its members just as Christ would Himself.

We have a lay priesthood. We have no priestly class; we have no paid clergy, there is not separation between "member" and "leader" other than his being set apart by the laying on of hands.

Our Bishop was released just last year, and he now teaches a Sunday Schoool class of eight year olds. Our new Bishop was a clerk before that. In a few years, he'll move on and another will take his place.

It's more egalitarian, and more organized for the edification of all, than any other organization that I know of.

You seem determined to see evil where there is only good. I'm sorry about that.
