if the person responsible (the lease signer) paid the rental in full, the 5 who did not pay (the sub-lettors)could only have a complaint for trespass signed by the lease-holder, rather than the landlord In every lease I have signed it says expressly the number and names of people living there. If only one was on the lease, the landlord I assume could kick the others out who were found to be living there. Eviction as far as I understand it only applies to the lessee.

I agree, those folk could not be lease signees otherwise they would have to go through the eviction process. My question was that if they had an agreement with the lease signer to live there, how could the landlord be the one to file trespass charges?
