A coalition of African presidents, meeting in Durban, South Africa Tuesday, officially retired the 40-year-old Organization of African Unity. The OAU had outlived its usefulness and original purpose. In its place, they created the African Union and wisely revised its mission.

"African Union" is pretty close to an oxymoron.

We can't even begin to imagine how this thing will implode after each African leader demands that they alone speak for the Afican people and deserve to be the supreme leader.

Let the experiment in futility begin and for your own safety, stand back. WAY, WAY back.
