Of course it does. I don't think many parents would send their teenage daughters out for the day with young heterosexual men.
THAT is a very good point, and I wish more of the complaints about situations like this came from this perspective, as opposed to the "God Hates Fags" viewpoint that unfortunately permeates these threads.
As a libertarian, I couldn't care less how a homosexual chooses to live his life, and as an agnostic, I don't use my perception of a deity's views towards homosexuality as a barometer of my opinions. But as a realist, I see the inherent danger in placing an adult in intimate, private company with a child of the gender he or she is sexually attracted to. I don't think a heterosexual male should be a Girl Scout Troop leader, I wouldn't want to see a young boy in this program with a Big Sister, and I don't see any reason to have a homosexual male keep close company with a young boy.
I think if more conservatives couched their arguments in these terms and left out comments like "chutney ferret", we'd have a much easier time convincing the general public of the dangers of this kind of thing.
