This Perry would contort scripture at every move to convince us that Jesus was not an observant Jew, and that his participation at the wedding at Cana was actually for two men.

Perhaps the silliest thing I've ever read. Purple was the color of royalty, not of homosexuality, at the time. Jesus was given no option. He was robed in purple by his enemies to mock him.

I have known many nice people who were not gay. I have also known many homosexuals who to the last were screwed up. Given the testimony that followed Christ, he does not strike me as screwed up. I can't say that I would follow all his rules -- turning the cheek, condemning the rich etc. -- but I don't see where he led followers into a life of homosexual debauchery. I thought his great complaint was the hypocrisy as practiced by contemporary religious leaders.

Methinks you are correct. In my readings the only people Jesus slammed on were the religious leaders of the day. The sinners he merely said "Go, and sin no more". Not that that is an easy assignment.

We as a nation have rebuked God and make no mistake this nation was founded on the belief in God. When the founders wrote creator they didn't mean some false gay pagan idol they meant the King of Kings! The public have let leftist run God out of their government and schools.
