You can't ask "Did this happen because" in these situations. When Israel does nothing, suicide bombers attack. When Israel cracks down, suicide bombers attack. When Israel makes concessions, suicide bombers attack.
It's not "what Israel does" but who these terrorists are. They are, in the words of the President, evildoers, and they will do evil with or without provocation.
Well from my vantage point, I give you two out of three.
Concessions = Increased attack rate
Doing nothing = steady attack rate
But when Israel Cracks down Always means far less attacks.
It really is proveable too, just check the news archives. Every time the territories are occupied, the terror rate drops to a small percentage of "usual".
I bet that if the territorys were bulldozed the terror rate would drop to virtualy nothing. Any takers?
