His "NO" wasn't convincing.
Had he played both side against the middle, he might have been in the running for 2008.
He's shown too much of his true colors at this point and I'm not sure his own party doesn't quite like what they see.
I would no longer vote for him after watching his maneuvers the past year and a half.

Yesterday, I watched his during the Senate hearings with Rumsfeld and Gen. Franks. McCain was outrageous in his behavior. I tried to keep an eye on Tory Clark, the female spokesperson for the pentagon. She is a McCain fan, BIG TIME. I read in a Sunday magazine paper, a few months back that she did not go to the Pentagon because she wanted to work with Rumsfeld, because she was a bg McCain fan. I have found this very disturbing, and now with all of the leaks, it reminds me of Mary Matlin and her proximity to the White House.
I have felt this way since the election that McCain thinks that he is owed the presidency and that Bush stole his chance. He is way too close to Liberman, Daschle. I never see him with a republican, not ever. Not even on submitting admendments.
NOW HE IS GOING TO APPEAR IN OCTOBER AS THE GUEST HOST FOR SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE AND THERE WILL BE A MOVIE TO COME OUT IN 2003, ABOUT MC CAIN, THAT WILL ALSO BE COMING OUT. THere was a big signing party in Washington with a bunch of liberal journalists present. It was right after the midnight signing by Bush on Campaign Finance Reform. This morning on IMUS he could not even bring himself to say anything nice about rep. Hayworth reepub. from Arizonia. IMUS tried at least three times to nudge him and all he could say was that Hayworth did not support him on CFR. What a jerk.
