The proposed law, supposedly designed to harmonise car insurance terms across Europe

Socialists, once again failing to "share the wealth" redistribute the misery.

I'm still skeptic enough to have trouble with using "radioactive wasteland" and "survivors" in the same thought.

At least in the present sense, the euro's are doing to themselves what Hitler would have done through conquest.

The message is that "democracy" in and of itself does not assure freedom in the long run.

Hitler came to power by elections, the EU came into being by the actions of elected officials. People are still perfectly able to vote themselves out of any liberty they may have won in the past - it's a "security thing".

There will always be plenty of people out there (and here) eager to help it along.

A_Turk, does your country *really* want to join this pack of freaks?

During my time in Turkey we ex-pats were advised to leave the scene immediately if we were ever in a taxi and an accident occurred. Supposedly Turkish law would find the passenger responsible since the accident would not have occurred if the passenger hadn't directed the driver to travel to his/her destination.

Nonetheless and considering that was many (don't ask) years ago this latest bs from Brussels is disgusting.

"... don't have to wear a fag costume to operate it."

No, but you are perfectly free to do so in the privacy of your Dodge.

Same held for Taiwan.
Just as long ago.
There was even a bicycle and bull-cart lane on the freeway. Powered vehicles had to cross it to get on and off and the carts had right of way.
