Thanks. Along with the Sodomites' lists of recommended reading, I found one instance of one teacher assigning a book to his class in the links you provided. Shocking, indeed. Just one more reason to monitor what the Publik Screwl is feeding my kids.

However, I remain skeptical about the article writer's intent. Why mention that book as an example of "assigned reading," without also mentioning an example of at least where it's so? Okay, maybe the perpetrators of that incident were already inundated with mail to the point that they cleaned up their act.

Frankly, I'd like to be part of the next letter-writing campaign.

To many school boards, those are synonyms unless you keep your involvement to volunteering to read in your child's class.

Don't ever think that you have anything to offer by way of telling a properly educated educrat how to run a school.
