*****UPDATE-Maximum sentence could have been 25 to Life *****
He is eligible for parole and time served for good behavior. Anyone know how little time he may only serve?
To: Howlin
This sure hasn't been Mickey's finest case.....
To: LoneGOPinCT
Half, but nobody on TV thinks the parole board would let him out that soon.

Justice was delayed. But justice certainly wasn't denied.
Glad the bereaved mother of the deceased can see this guy thrown into the iron chateau with such a sentence--before her days on earth ended.

Can you name a case Mickey has won? I sure can't.

NORWALK, Conn.: the sentence. -AP Breaking News (08-29) 10:04 PDT (AP) -- Skakel told Judge John F. Kavanewsky Jr. that he could not apologize. "I would love to be able to say I did the crime so that the Moxley family could have peace," a sobbing Skakel said. "But to do that ...

If it will help, then maybe Skalel's fellow inmates can treat him like a minor.

On the off chance he didn't do it, his BROTHER did. Let his brother live with that if he IS guilty.

He compared himself to Jesus Christ!He would, after all, he is a Kennedy in a roundabout way. :-}

I happened to catch part of Fuhrman's interview after the sentencing on Fox. It seems to me that he was making every effort to avoid saying "THIS GUY IS THE LOONIEST CREEP MURDERER I HAVE EVER SEEN, AND A KENNEDY RELATION AS WELL!"
Instead, he was quite low-key but rather dumbfounded at Skakel's comments, as well of those of some of the Kennedy and Skakel relatives.
To: uncbob
Yes - I think Fuhrman was WAYYYY out in front on this - by several years and his investigation prompted the police up there to reopen the investigation that led to Skakel getting caught.

Your Kidding!? A royal? Convicted? And sentenced? In New England? Is it possible that Ted could also face justice?
Naaaw ............. the wheels of justice may grind slow and fine but not that fine.
