So they're not "gay" after all.

Back before the PC crap got started by the homophobes who were afraid of ACT-UP (the only true homophobes) there was a movie called "Fame." One of the characters is a homosexual. In one line of the movie he says something like "I don't mind being unhappy, really."

This movie portrayed him like he was. He wanted to feel normal but he wasn't. His life had been ruined by a father who left him and a mother who had no time for him. His miserable youth was leading him into a miserable adulthood, but nobody had any answers for him.

Today, of course, no queer would admit to being unhappy because they have to work together to maintain the facade and some have learned to lie to themselves thanks to having each other for support.

But the ex-gays will tell you.

Shalom.

The gays I know lead very sad lives - with alcohol, promiscuous and sometimes anonymous sex, with disease, with constantly breaking and unfaithful relationships, and more than anything, with incredible loneliness. They need help and compassion, not affirmation of their sexual behaviors.
