Another shock jock went too far and is no longer on South Bay radio station KSJO-FM, thanks to the dogged efforts of his critics.

The ouster of Mikey Esparza -- who offered, on the air, kidnapping tips and satirical songs glorifying sex with children -- may presage tough times for other shock jocks in the stable of radio giant Clear Channel Communications.

I know, maybe the guy was being "ironic," but these idiots go on and on and on, and their sole function is to draw ads, and they won't stop without a good swift kick in the behind -- or a nice firing.

"But it wasn't legislation or the FCC that brought down Clear Channel host Mikey Esparza. It was a couple of young, liberal tie-dyers from Monterey"

I'm not sure that bringing what they say to the sponsor's attention will always work. Wasn't the sponsor of the contest that led to the St. Patrick's Cathedral incident in the studio at the time that it happened?

Ready for the latest outrage? Baseball fans remember the shocking death of St. Louis pitcher Darryl Kile last June at age 33. Since the Cardinals were in Phoenix for the playoffs, a DJ got ahold of the hotel room number for his widow, Flynn. The DJ called her up and asked her if she was taking a date to the ballpark.

It was truly in very poor taste and the Cardinals had every reason to be very upset. The station manager says the jock won't be disciplined commenting that the jock "doesn't always understand the difference between good taste and bad taste" ( then WHY is he behind a microphone??).

Cardinal Manager Tony LaRussa claimed if the DJ had said this while he was around he would have become physically violent.
