The place is open to the public. Anyone that pays their money can and does train or shoot there. It is popular with a lot of non terrorist types. FOX was saying that its on the up and up and they have good relations with law enforcement. Its not some secret islamic training center.

Williams is a gulf war vet. 40 years old. He most likely had served at least a couple hitches. People typically don't join the military as late at 30. He could be an exception, but the typical age of enlistees is around 19 or so, I believe. We had one person, over 20 in my entire basic training platoon. He was "old" 24 already, and we considered him weird for joining so "old".
