The charm isn't meant to ward off technology traumas. Lyman recently entered the annual Diversity Visa Lottery. If her name is selected in a random drawing by a U.S. immigration service computer, Lyman will win a chance to apply for legal-resident status in the United States.

A significant number of lottery entries and winners come from countries that the United States has declared as state sponsors of terrorism.The list of ineligible countries should have been REVISED quickly after 911 to protect the Homeland. We have been told to help our neighbors, do good deeds, etc. to fight terrorism while Gov't Agencies have not taken the simplest of steps to cancel or revise these Diversity Lotteries. Why?
The immigration service faces increasing pressure to scale back or halt the diversity lottery due to national security concerns.Why has the immigration service not halted the lottery pronto, after 911, since ALL the axis of evil countries are on the eligible list for this lottery? Diversity before Security?
