I didn't read the endorsement in the newspaper but I heard on the local conservative radio station here that the Dallas Morning News has endorsed John Cornyn, the republican candidate for senate, while the Houston Comical(Chronicle) endorsed Ron Kirk, the democrat candidate for senate.
This should be a political mouthful considering Ron Kirk was mayor in Dallas.
I guess they know better like the Arkansas Democrat did not endorse Clinton for president the first time and has endorsed Tim Hutchinson this time for senate.
Interesting. Not sure if someone had posted this about Ron Kirk and John Cornyn yet; therefore, I thought I would tell it.

The Morning News often endorses Republicans on its editorial page while practicing the grossest forms of liberal bias in its news pages.

Didn't get to the Op-Ed page of the Chronical yet today. What are there reasons for going with Kirk, other than that "he's black"?

The only people who read editorial endorsements are people who are smart enough to make up their own minds. Nobody is swayed by them anymore; if they ever were.

Who cares? The people who read editorial endorsements are smart enough to make up their own mind. These things aren't worth 1/2 of 1 percent in the polls.

I really didn't read what the Chronicle had to say about the endorsement. I just heard about it on local talk show on Ksev 700 today. So I am not sure why they endorsed Kirk.

This is about the third I have tried to post this, so not sure if it will go through, but I didn't read the Chronicle or Morning News endorsements, just heard them on the radio, talk show on conservative radio station.
Hope this message goes through

Because the Houston Chronicle is a liberal leaning newspaper-always has been.

What are there reasons for going with Kirk, other than that "he's black"?You're close, my friend. The Chronicle wants Kirk elected because he isn't White!
