Nizar Trabelsi acknowledges to have prepared an attack in connection with Ben Laden

BRUSSELS, Nov. 14 (AFP) - Nizar Trabelsi, a terrorist supposed stopped in Brussels on September 13, 2001, recognized that it had prepared an attack against an American base of NATO in Belgium in connection with network Al-Qaïda of Oussama Ben Laden, in a diffused exclusive interview Thursday evening by public radio-télévision Belgian RTBF.

The RTBF indicated to have collected "at the time of long telephone conversations" the "confessions" of Trabelsi, which is held with the prison of Brussels of Forest, without giving other details on the circumstances of these conversations.

In this interview, Nizar Trabelsi admits having prepared an attack against the American base of Kleine Brogel, in the North-East of Belgium.

With the question "it was well Belgium which was aimed?", it answers "yes, yes". "I.e. Kleine Brogel?" he ask the journalist. "Yes exactly", it repeats, by contradicting that the embassy from the United States in Paris was aimed as the assumption of had been emitted.

"Yes, I am guilty. Is needed that I pays ", adds Nizar Trabelsi, while affirming "to like much, like my father", Oussama Ben Laden.
