ZOT!
ZOT!

ZOT!
ZOT!
ZOT!
(The (world)is coming to a (bitter) end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Save me Mike Dukakis
The only thing that comes close, that I can think of, are Fidel's ridiculous eight-hour speeches...
"Zot!"-AdminMod, sir, does this sound like the Louisiana Weekly has met the same horrible fate as the Palmetto Journal? Bought and run right into the ground by leftists who can't write?
http://www.louisianaweekly.com/index.html
For over seventy-five years The Louisiana Weekly has articulated the interests of Louisiana's African-American community. We are proud of our longevity, and hope we have been useful. But times have changed.
We have also begun to include the interests of our region's multicultural citizenry who believe the future lies in a growing understanding of our interdependence as members of the same urban/rural household. Our goal is to add value to people's lives by delivering economic, social and scientific "new information" from business, culture, and the natural and social sciences, which enhances personal and community growth.
It is our belief that life is about education - mental, emotional, social and spiritual learning, and personal growth. The more learning and growth we experience, the richer and more meaningful life becomes. Henceforth The Louisiana Weekly will attempt to represent the interests of our multicultural community in its individual and collective quest for a richer, more dimensional, and meaningful quality of life.
LOL!!!
...maybe the country will receive a "major" wake up call when, for example, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor retires, which I predict she will do when this current session of the U. S. Supreme Court ends in July, and President Bush appoints another Scalia or Thomas to the court in order to repay his political debt to the religious right, just as he said he would like to do during the 2000 campaign, which means the Roe V. Wade decision is toast and when overturned women will be forced to seek out back alley abortions and add to the 80,000 women who already die annually as a result of living in nations where abortions are banned!!!!
Overturning Roe v Wade doesn't make abortion illegal, it merely ends the fiction that the 'right' to an abortion is somehow encoded in the Constitution.
In its absence, who will decide whether unborn children merit any legal protection?
That's right, the people.
But the leftist position on abortion, racial preferences, gun control, etc., etc., is that the peasants have no right to choose. Leftist courts will tell us what is and is not permitted.
As this becomes obvious to more and more people, the leftists find they aren't doing all that well at elections -- even with the assistance of vote fraud -- and they are frothing mad.
Their solution? More tyranny, more lies. Rush and Fox News must be silenced. The leftist media must be seen as impartial. Republicans must be slandered as racist, as religious fanatics, as warmongers. Oh, yes, and as haters...
I don't think I am going to pull this. I think it is worth the entertainment, and I think it is worth seeing what other publications besides louisianaweekly and palmettojournal are going to have similar transformations.
Gee, what I would say is:
Praise God for saving America!!!
I'm sorry, Dave. I don't believe you're making much sense. I listened to your litany of liberal sloganeering, and I don't find it very persuasive. I don't think most humans believe those things anymore, Dave. I think they would read them and dismiss you as a crank. We know what religious fanaticism looks like now, Dave. We have seen its ugly face in the Taliban, and elsewhere. And we know that there is nothing like it in the United States. So your attempt to scare us with a 'religious right' in this country sounds shrill and intolerant, and not very well connected with reality. Are you sure that you're not just an anti-religious bigot, Dave? The voters have spoken, Dave. Your lies were not believed. Calling your political opponents names is no longer effective as campaign strategy. Neither is reciting litanies of horrors that you made up yourself. Yes, we know you believe those things, Dave. That is why you recite them. But you are irrelevant. You are just an angry, bitter, loser. You are what I would call a human error, Dave. |
Similar misfortunes. Gee, the Louisiana Weekly was around for 75 years, and now they're printing this stuff...
But I'm proud to report that I have been turning this friend into a proud Republican. He actually voted a Rep. ticket this time in Ca.
