A boom and a vapour trail as missiles just miss their mark

We've had a terrorist attack against Israelis in Africa, in Kenya. We know at the moment of two dead children, others that are hurt. We are taking emergency action to provide medical assistance to the wounded and to bring back the rest of the Israelis to Israel.

There was in addition to this terrorist attack another attempted downing of an Israeli civilian aircraft in Kenya by shoulder-fired missiles. This is a very serious escalation of international terrorism.

I want to remind you that, in the 1970s, in the late '60s, the rash of hijackings that came from Arafat's PLO was first directed against Israel and then spread as a worldwide epidemic. The fact that the forces of terror - terror organizations and the regimes that back them - have shoulder-fired missiles that can down civilian aircraft is known. The fact is that they are using them, and the weapons that they are using against us are growing in their ferocity and their ability to murder us.

This could have resulted today in the death of 150 Israelis. Today this is directed against Israeli planes in Mombasa, tomorrow they could be directed at Israeli planes from a Palestinian state, from Tel Aviv, and may I say that if the forces of terror and the terrorist states are not dismantled, they will be directed at the planes of states and countries and nationalities worldwide. This has to be brought down today. The terror network has to be stripped, the terror regimes have to be dismantled, the terror organizations destroyed. If we don't destroy them, they'll destroy us.

Q: Mr. Netanyahu, who do you believe is behind this? Do you have any information?

A: We have our suspicions. We don't yet have concrete information. There are several possibilities, but I don't want to make a definitive statement, because we don't know yet. We will know. I'm being told right now that the number of dead has gone up to three.

Q: Is the assumption that the Palestinians are involved in this?

A: No, I don't know who specifically is involved in this, but yes, Palestinian organizations have been trying to get shoulder-fired missiles to direct at Israeli aircraft for quite some time. Hizbullah has been very active in this effort. When you have regimes like Iran and Syria and others, and Iraq, that are supporting these terrorists, they have shoulder-fired missiles. So as long as this network is around, it's just a question of time before they'll get these weapons. It's just a question of time before they'll down civilian aircraft. And may I say it always begins with Israel; it never ends with Israel. So this is not just our battle: it's a common battle against this global terror network, that President Bush set out to unite the civilized forces against. We're merely at the cutting edge. We have to bring down this terror network before it brings us down, brings our planes down.

Q: What measures should be adopted by the Israeli government in response to this morning's attack and by the international community?

A: There are defensive measures that can be taken to protect our aircraft. There are obviously warnings that we can give to the terrorists. But I have to say that whatever defensive measures we can have, we cannot put an armed guard next to every tourist. We cannot protect every plane that takes off or lands in every airfield in the world. It's simply impossible. There are defensive measures that are and will be intensified, but at the end of the day to win this battle you have to defeat the forces of terror. And defeating them means that you have to take on not only the organizations, but the regimes that make the organizations' work possible. This is the most important part of defeating international terror.

Q: Have you been in contact with the Americans, and what did they say?

A: We've been in contact first with the Kenyan government and we've been in close consultation with them about medical assistance and logistics. We're in contact with other governments as well. Of course we're talking with the American government and many other friendly governments, but at the moment our efforts are primary launched at getting immediate medical assistance to the wounded, because there are different degrees of injury there, and we're trying to save lives. This is the most important thing.

... We're talking about the future of Israel and we're talking also about the future of our battle against international terrorism, and I think this is what is at stake right now. Because you have to understand that unless we defeat terror, it will defeat us. These are people who have no limitation, no inhibitions, no moral compunctions. They will use any weapons they have. If we give them the political and military power to be independent, to be not under our control, they will use those powers to kill as many of our citizens as they can. Not only the citizens of Israel, but the citizens of many many lands. There is no compromise; no possibility of compromise with the forces of terror. They either destroy us, or we destroy them. It's about time that we woke up to this simple reality.

4.Jordan’s king threatens Saudis with reprisal for Ma’an riots

In the last two weeks, hundreds of suspects have been detained by Jordanian security forces in the on-and-off disturbances in the southern Jordanian town ofMa’an. These forces went in to winkle out the killers of Laurence Foley, USAID executive officer inJordan, who was shot dead outside hisAmmanhome on October 28, and to break the stranglehold fundamentalist groups have clamped down on southernJordan.

DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s sources in the Gulf report thatJordan’s King Abdullah was in for a shock when his military intelligence officers laid before him the documents and transcripts yielded by their investigation. He had not appreciated to what extent southernJordancentering on Ma’an had become a Muslim terrorist enclave.

Although some 4,000 Jordanian special forces and security police were deployed in the raids, they did not nab Foley’s killers, who found shelter with local tribal chiefs who are less than sympathetic toJordan’s Hashemite rulers. However, while scouring the town and Bedouin caves and encampments in its vicinity, Jordanian security forces dug up some telling evidence of a pernicious Islamic radical underground fed by outside groups.

According to DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s military and counter-terrorism sources, the forces detained several dozen Egyptian fundamentalists linked to the Jamaah al-Islam terrorist group that was the precursor of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad (al Qaeda’s senior operational partner). The Jamaah plotted and executed the assassination of Egyptian president Anwar Sadat in October 1981.

As is often the case in the Middle East, current events in the fields of terror and religious extremism have deep roots in the past. Hence the name of the suspected Jemaa activist, Sheikh Yussef Quaradawi, who preaches fundamentalism over al Jazeera Television, has popped up in connection with the current unrest in Jordan and the terror enclave forming around Ma’an.

Since Sadat’s assassination in 1981, the sheikh never tried to return to his home in Cairo, knowing he would be arrested on the spot, even though his weekly televised sermons have made him a household name in the Arab world.

In addition to his Egyptian followers, Jordanian forces also rounded up several dozen Palestinians, some of whom infiltrated Ma’an from Lebanon, the West Bank and Iraq. Among them, the Jordanians suspect, are members of the pro-Iraqi Palestinian Arab Liberation Front, led by Abul al-Abbas. Resident in Baghdad, Abul al-Abbas’s group is supervised and funded by Iraqi military intelligence. It is closely allied with the suicide arm of Yasser Arafat’s terror movement on the West Bank, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, whose commander is the pro-Baghdad Colonel Tawfiq Tirawi.

But what put the fat in the fire was the discovery of some 110 Saudis from the Rashid tribe, whose lands are situated east of the Saudi capital Riyadh, among the detainees at Ma’an.

Most told their Jordanian interrogators they were Wahhabi nomadic fighters who traditionally roam central and northern Saudi Arabia and southern Jordan. However, the Jordanians suspected that many of these innocent nomads had in fact fought with al Qaeda in Afghanistan and with Chechen rebels against the Russians.

Indeed, they turned up documentary evidence that the Saudis in custody had fought in the ranks of Shamil Baseyev, the Chechen warlord who humiliated Russian forces in the 1994-96 war. They also found suitcases stuffed with cash -- mainly US dollars and Jordanian dinars – buried in camouflaged holes in the ground near the Saudi fighters’ living quarters and hideouts.

The suitcases matched similar ones found in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Chechnya and such Central Asian countries as Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Saudi al Qaeda operatives habitually move around with suitcases full of cash.

DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s Gulf sources report that the Jordanian monarch went to Riyadh to complain to Saudi crown prince Abdullah, marching in to their meeting with one of the suitcases in hand. Their conversation has been described as “very loud”.

Jordan’s Abdullah accused the Saudi prince of not lifting a finger to stop the infiltration of Wahhabi militants into his country. He asked how they could pass through the Saudi-Jordanian frontier when at least two Saudi armored brigades and surface-to-surface missiles were deployed there with their crews.

The sources said King Abdullah hinted fairly broadly to the de facto Saudi ruler that Jordan’s royal family was closely connected through the Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood to the militant Muslims commanding the Hijaz region of the western Saudi coast. The threat implied was that if the Saudis did not call off their militants in southern Jordan, the Hashemite king might well reciprocate in kind. In any case, he proposed to uproot the Muslim enclave taking form in his kingdom.

DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s Gulf and Moscow sources reveal that Jordan’s findings reached the desk of Russian president Vladimir Putin. He asked Amman for fuller details ahead of the visit to St. Petersburg last weekend of US President George W. Bush. The Jordanians complied. This was evident from the tone taken by Putin in that conversation. He emphasized repeatedly that in order to combat terror, the United States and Russia dare not ignore its sources of funding – a transparent reference to the Saudis.

Following the Bush-Putin encounter, on Tuesday, November 26, King Abdullah paid an unannounced visit to Moscow, bringing with him at his host’s requests a dossier crammed full of the data gleaned from interrogations of the Saudi prisoners and the money-filled suitcases found in Ma’an.

Islam has declared war on the rest of the human race and it is time we recognize this. My argument it is not merely a simpleton’s reference to the ills of the Koran written over a thousand years ago. Recent events around the world bear witness that what I said is correct. Islam is at war with the human race, both abroad and here at home.

Islam openly supports terrorism against non–Muslins worldwide. This is not only in the Koran, but also in the deeds and actions of its leaders and followers. Over the last few weeks, we have had one example after another of how peaceful Islam truly is. In Bali, we have the wholesale slaughter of people at a nightclub. In Manila, embassies are closing out of fear of Islamic terrorist attacks. A Buddhist monastery in Thailand is attacked and monks set on fire and burnt alive (their crime was being Buddhist) by members of this peaceful faith – Islam (Agence France-Presse). In India, Islamic terrorists slaughter Hindu followers in Kashmir (their crime was being Hindu). Islamic terrorists took over a Moscow theater and they promised to massacre everyone unless their demands were met. In Nigeria, the massacre of hundreds of Christians is taking place (their crime is they are Christian). A resort in Kenya is attacked because there are Jews at this popular vacation spot. The Moro Islamic Liberation Front attacks villages and kidnap nine and murdering people in the Philippines (their crime was being Catholic (Agence France-Presse)). In Israel there seems to be at least one attack per day on the population because the people in Israel are Jewish. In Europe, Muslims are attacking Jewish children and burning synagogues. Middle East Muslim leaders encourage the slaughter of all Christians and Jews (this is in the official Saudi Arabian, Iranian and Egyptian press). Hitler is a hero and Mein Kampf is a best seller in these areas.

Around the world, we have examples of Islamic “tolerance”. Egyptian television runs a series about “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” a fictional book that would make Hitler and his Nazi movement proud. Muslim religious leaders in such countries as Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Pakistan call for the death of every non-Muslim in the world. In Britain, Muslims openly state that they will take over the nation. In Denmark, Muslims publicly put bounties on the heads of Jews and those that support Israel (Agence France-Presse). In Australia, Islamic rape gangs are organized for the soul purpose of raping and abusing as many young Christian women as possible. Two such Islamic gang members are Mohamed Ghanem, 19, serving a term of 26 years and Bilal Skaf serving a 55 year sentence bent on rapping the women of Australia. One victim, was tortured and called a “Christian Aussie pig” by gang members as she was being be raped. Five days before 9/11, the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet stated that the Muslims in Norway commit 65% of the country's rapes, cause almost every gang rape, and are responsible for 82% of the nation’s crime. Similar numbers are found throughout Northern Europe. On November 28, 2002 World Net Daily had an excellent article entitled “Arafat and al-Qaida linked…” proves a broad coordination of Islam and its terrorists”. Just ask the millions of Christians in the Sudan enslaved by Muslims how wonderful and tolerant Islam is!

On November 25th, Nahed Munir Alrayis (in the official media paper of the Palestinian people) openly stated that the Islamic world needs to resort to “suicide attacks against the United States, its armed forces and its navy. The USA must be destroyed from within and without, by Muslims American citizens and Muslims citizens of the world”. This sounds like a declaration of war to me. I have a simple question, why should I be tolerant of individuals who wish to kill and enslave my fellow Americans?

Here in the United States tax-funded Islamic citizen and organizations spread their message of terror and hatred on college campuses. Three recent examples follow. At the University of Michigan Islamic supporters held a conference supporting anti-Semitism, anti-Americanism, and hate for the Western World. Speakers included Islamic Jihad founder Sami Al-Arian who openly called on every Muslim student (at the university and the nation) to rape and kill every Christian and Jew! (It is in his speech). At San Francisco State University, the Muslim Student Association sponsors an art festival with a theme that Jews kill Muslim children for the sole purpose of drinking their blood. The Jewish blood libel is not just being spread through the pages of the Arab press; its alive in the USA as well. At Berkley, Jewish students are attacked by Muslim students after a meeting. These Islamic students chanted “Hitler was right, all Jews must be slaughtered!” On numerous college campuses Jewish students fear for their lives as Muslims promise to kill them Simply put, why should I be tolerant today of Islam (as it preaches death and destruction of the USA) like many German citizens were in the 1930’s as Hitler rose to power?

We have the likes of Louis Farrakhan regurgitating rabid racism and hatred of Christians and Jews with constant calls for the death of white non-Muslims and race wars. In places such as Buffalo, Charlotte, Chicago, and Portland Islamic citizens are arrested for planning and supporting terrorism (not just what took place on September 11, 2001). In Los Angeles, a Muslim citizen attacks the counter of an airline demanding all Jews die. We also have the case of John Mohammed (a recent convert to Islam) and his reign of terror on the people in the Washington, D.C. area. Not one world wide Islamic religious leader has condemned the terrorist actions against the United States – Not even what took place on September 11, 2001.

Of the 22 wars taking place in the world, 20 of them involve Islam attacking and/or enslaving non-Muslims. Islam is at war with the human race. Throughout American history, it has always been our right and our way to wage war and fight those who have declared war on us. Imagine the USA being tolerant of Japan after Pearl Harbor! September 11, 2001 was such a declaration of war against the American people (by members/terrorists of the Islamic faith). The truth is, the Koran teaches its followers to either kill or convert every non-Muslim in the world. This horrific campaign is taking place today, just as it did during the time of Mohammed. As I have clearly shown here Islamic terror, and the vitriolic hatred displayed by Islam around the world (and in the USA) toward non-Muslims prove my case that I am not just referring to the Koran from long time ago but the actions of today’s Muslims. It is our obligation, responsibility and duty as Americans to rise up, stand tall and stop those who wish to destroy the United States, just as previous generations stood up to Hitler and Imperial Japan from conquering and enslaving the world.

TEN expert metallurgists who examined the TWA 800 wreckage reported finding no evidence that the 747 was the victim of a missile - or bomb - attack.

Subject: Metallurgical Status Report: TWA 800

The last FBI metallurgical examinations or evaluations conducted of any significance, relating to damaged TWA 800 components, were in approximately October 1996.

As directed by you, on January 1, 1997, I elicited a commitment for the services of a retired research scientist and metallographic laboratory specializing in the aluminum alloys primarily comprising the Boeing 747-100.

Since May 1997, the scientist has been researching the location, morphology, and formation fracture mechanics of small holes with "spike tooth" fractures, the only metallurgically significant indicator present at a high strain rate. However, the holes are relatively small (none of which could reasonably have been responsible for "instantaneous" cessation of the recorders), exhibit no apparent preferred concentration, exhibit no apparent isotrophy, and are in matrices which exhibit no characteristics of impulsive loading or proximity to explosive (ordnance) materials.

The scientist has observed no indication of bomb or missile damage, and brings to ten the number of metallurgists officially examining and pronouncing the absence of bomb or missile damage, four from NTSB, three from Boeing, two from FBI Laboratory, and one scientist consultant.

It is noted that three of the aforementioned metallurgists could be considered to have a strong organizational interest in the finding that something other than mechanical failure initiated the catastrophic sequence of events.
