We need a new category that lists polls to freep.

Freepers love to freep polls, myself included. It only takes a few minutes and can make a difference. But, they are really difficult to keep up with on a day to day basis. I suggest we have a entirely new category where Freepers can post polls that need freeping.
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: category; freeping; polls
Comments?

Before that, we need an "Environment/Eco Freak" category...as I've been saying for years.

So true. There have been times that I go to the DU (you'd be surprised how many of our posts are in there) and I see where they ask their people to go vote. I come in here to see if we have that poll and can never find it. So I for one like your idea.

Good. I am going to try to keep this bumped for more comments.

I'm not sure if we need a seperate catagory. We could take a poll, but then I am wondering, will any see the poll if we post it?
Final thought, maybe the various ping lists that go around already are enough. Posting a easy to find poll section can work both ways. Lib lurkers could then find the poll quite easily. Most of us spend quite a bit of time on here and eventually do come across polls and other article of interest. A quick lib lurker may not find them.

My point exactly. LOLWow, and I didn't even have to post a (sacasim) alert for someone to see my humor. I must actually now be getting funny. I have been working at it you know.
Okay, now off to quit my day job.

I'm sorry, but most of these polls are outdated. We need a forum to organize and freep current polls.
To: Conservababe
Until John gets keywords working the bump list are the best we have. If Everyone would place *FREEP! in the to: header of a reply then the poll thread would appear at the top of the list that I linked to above.

GREAT idea...I love freepin' polls, too. I eagerly do it unless it's the rare time when I disagree with the person posting the poll info......I would check the POLLS TO FREEP category every day!
To: Jim Robinson
What do you think of this idea? We could be more efficient if we had own own category to look up current polls instead of depending on long ping lists.
To: Conservababe
Nobody relies on online polls. Freeping them is a waste of time.

I beg to differ.

What is your opinion of those who protest a possible war against Iraq? (1543 votes cast)
I disagree with them, but they have the right to speak: 20.6% (318 votes)
They should keep quiet because they undermine our morale in the war on terrorism: 11.3% (174 votes)
They can protest all they want; it will not change anything: 6.9% (106 votes)
More people should join them: 61.2% (945 votes)
This is a poll taken by my local newspaper here in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the hometown of Rush Limbaugh. We are heavily conservative in this region.
As you can see, the anti-war voters won. And next week we will see an article printed to say as much. And most people reading it will assume that the poll was of people in this region, and it could affect their vote. But, I have no doubt that this poll was hit by outside liberal votes, which is fair. But, I do think we should organize and retaliate.
BTW..I did ask Freepers to freep this poll. In twenty four hours, the anti-war percentage was down from 77%.
We can make a difference.

Hell, they come over here and find em, and post notice for their people to 'un-freep' them...
Funny, how the little 'vote' wars take off after that...
