A while ago, we read your article entitled "Robert Fisk: Why does John Malkovich want to kill me?” Although we are well aware that any objective coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is strongly resisted by certain groups, we were shocked to see how far they are willing to go.
We are writing to let you know that we support you, admire and respect your persistent endeavor to voice the truth. This hate mail emanates from a minority, (albeit a very vocal, well organized and connected one). Still, they dread the day truth will shine through.
If we had to select a few journalists to tell the news on the Middle East conflict, reveal the truths, and speak in an objective and comprehensive manner, you would be amongst the very top. Your articles are thought-provoking, invaluable and appreciated for the honest effort on your part to enlighten the public.
What you have achieved, and continue to achieve, will never be underestimated. Unfortunately, we are part of a "silent majority" which does not often reveal itself, hence giving the false impression to the writer that he is alone in his reporting. Your readers do not always make themselves known, but a clearer and more honest comprehension of world events are certainly part of your contribution.
We honor your work, ideals and courage.
