Well, just to quibble, this article here isn't affirmation subject to confirmation in the first place. Speculation, as it stands.

Microbes Rain Down from Space? The data collection is just beginning. Until we get out there to some other planets and the moon and collect similar data, it's going to be controversial. It's the theory of panspermia all right, and we will just have to wait and collect data. Much too soon to call it one way or the other.
